As a Patient Screening Co-ordinator, you will join a successful MHRA Phase I Accredited Unit with an international reputation for excellence in clinical research. This is an exciting opportunity to support the recruitment and screening of volunteers and patients for our clinical studies, helping to strengthen our volunteer database and contribute directly to the success of our research programmes.
The role involves receiving full training to develop the skills needed to screen, assess, and onboard volunteers and patients onto our pharmaceutical studies. Working as part of a collaborative and friendly Recruitment Team, you will be responsible for delivering a professional, supportive, and engaging experience to all volunteers. This position is ideal for someone with excellent people skills, strong customer service experience, and the confidence to communicate clearly with a wide range of individuals. You will work closely with our clinical teams and external partners, ensuring volunteers are well-informed, welcomed, and prepared for their research journey.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Conducting initial telephone screenings and assessing volunteer suitability
- Booking eligible volunteers into New Volunteer Screen (NVS) appointments
- Maintaining accurate, high-quality records within the ICARUS database
- Supporting outreach and engagement activities to grow our volunteer pool
- Working with Recruitment and Marketing teams to support study needs
- Ensuring all activities comply with EU/UK Clinical Trials legislation and ICH GCP
Experience we are looking for:
- Experience in a customer-facing, call-handling, or service-driven role
- Confidence communicating clearly and professionally with a wide range of individuals
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Comfortable working with databases with good attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
- A proactive, positive approach to problem-solving and supporting volunteers
- Previous experience in healthcare, clinical research, or recruitment is beneficial but not essential
