We are looking for a PIQU Project Manager to join our Product Information Quality Unit within the Healthcare Quality & Access group. This is a full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term contract (loan, internal move or temporary promotion). The role is based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 4PU. We are adopting a hybrid working model with a minimum of 8 days per month on site, flexing up to 12 days depending on business needs. The PIQU team drives quality improvement across medicines and medical devices, licensing, market access and regulatory compliance. The Project Manager will lead a large multi‑stakeholder programme focused on improving patient information.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management – day‑to‑day oversight of the project and project team, providing effective management controls, setting project controls, running the project structure, delivering tasks, and proactively managing challenges and solutions.
  • Project Performance & Controls – cascade vision into delivery objectives, develop and maintain the project plan, manage performance and report progress to sponsors.
  • Risks & Issues – identify and monitor project risks and issues, develop mitigating actions, and elevate matters as appropriate, coordinating with related projects to manage interdependencies.
  • Governance – support effective governance and decision‑making, provide governance reporting, and hold the Project Manager accountable for delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Desirable: Experience in FHIR, Digital Health, or patient‑centred design. Exposure to patient information improvement programmes.
  • Required: Degree level or equivalent in Life Sciences or Business. Life sciences experience essential (regulatory settings desirable). Experience of end‑to‑end project management on complex projects using diverse delivery methodologies and frameworks. Experience in establishing projects with appropriate governance to ensure accurate risk and issue reporting and stakeholder assurance. Familiarity with the Government Project Delivery Functional Standard (desirable). PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification (desirable).

Additional Information

Successful candidates will be required to pass standard security checks including disclosure and barring, animal rights, and pro‑life activism checks. Candidates must comply with UK immigration and Civil Service nationality rules, and may be subject to an Internal Fraud Database check.
