Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy and evaluate data science and machine learning solutions using Python, R and SQL; build models, algorithms and data science tooling.
- Provide professional leadership to a team of data professionals, ensuring their development and aligning performance with strategic goals; develop and drive the strategic direction for the function.
- Continuously assess and enhance the design of data science solutions for data processing and analysis; prove proficiency in advanced frameworks such as TensorFlow, scikit‑learn and exposure to Generative AI, NLP and Computer Vision.
- Leverage complex and heterogeneous datasets to generate actionable insights, robust evidence and decision‑support tools.
- Design systems, processes and tools for statistical‑based modelling and analysis, tailored to regulatory decision‑making, including common data models and rapid analytics.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to address key regulatory opportunities across the product lifecycle (e.g., forecasting potential adverse drug reactions, generating synthetic data, anomaly detection in device registration).
- Engage with external stakeholders to enhance the Agency’s ability to deliver on patient safety objectives.
