Locum / Temporary – Full-time & Part-time Advert description : Locum Consultant Psychiatrists – AC Approved – NHS & Secure Services – South of England & East Midlands Medicare4u is recruiting experienced Locum Consultant Psychiatrists for several long-term NHS and secure-care roles across the South of England and the East Midlands. Many roles can start immediately. Specialties we are recruiting for: Forensic Psychiatry – Low Secure and Medium Secure inpatient wards, including Responsible Clinician roles and LD forensic services CAMHS Inpatient – adolescent low secure unit with cross cover of PICU and MSU General Adult / PICU – inpatient and Home Treatment Team cover, including leadership of SAS doctors Learning Disabilities & CAMHS/CMHT Transitions – community-based role including LD dementia services Older Persons Mental Health – inpatient ward cover The roles: Full-time (37.5–40 hours) and part-time (3 days per week) options, including a 4-day week Long-term, ongoing assignments, plus short-term contracts with immediate starts Some roles include a 1:9 on-call rota Supported by established MDTs, with access to academic programmes Requirements: Approved Clinician (AC) status – essential for all roles Section 12(2) MHA approval and CCT – required for some roles Full GMC registration, on the Specialist Register or working at consultant level Recent NHS experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist or Responsible Clinician Good knowledge of the Mental Health Act, including Part 3 for forensic roles Right to work in the UK Why Medicare4u?
