Ready to lead a nursing home where residents already feel at home? This is an opportunity for an experienced Nursing Home Manager who believes culture is everything. The way a team feels about coming to work shows in every interaction with every resident. Standards aren’t maintained by policies alone — they’re maintained by people who genuinely care. This warm, welcoming nursing home in Aylesbury has an established team and a positive environment where residents are treated as individuals and families feel involved. Your job will be to protect what already makes the home special — and build on it.

The role

The provider is looking for a strong, visible leader who can give the team clear direction while remaining approachable, supportive and connected to the people living in the home. You’ll lead from the floor, not from behind a desk. You will:

  • Lead, support and develop the home’s team
  • Build a culture where good colleagues want to stay
  • Maintain high standards of care, compliance and safeguarding
  • Keep the home prepared for CQC inspections
  • Confidently manage performance when standards slip
  • Build trusted relationships with residents and families
  • Manage occupancy, budgets and the commercial performance of the home
  • Ensure residents remain at the centre of every decision

This is for you if:

  • You have at least two years’ experience as a Home Manager or in a comparable senior role
  • You understand how to lead and retain a high-performing care team
  • You’re warm and approachable but comfortable making difficult decisions
  • You balance compassion with compliance
  • You have strong working knowledge of CQC requirements
  • You understand occupancy, budgets and the private care market
  • You’re visible, hands-on and genuinely interested in residents and colleagues

An NMC qualification would be welcomed, although experienced non-nurse Home Managers will also be considered.

Why apply?

If you put culture and care at the centre of your leadership, this home could be the right next step for you.
