Obstetric Sonographer – South West of England

Are you an experienced Sonographer looking to pick up extra shifts during the week?

Medicare are currently looking for Sonographers to work Weekdays or weekends completing in Obstetric ultrasound scans scans for our client in South West of England We offer Flexible Contracts that allow our candidates to choose their preferred working days, hours and locality which allows them to work around their schedule.

Please note we may close this vacancy early depending on the number of applications received.

Main duties of the job

  • To perform obstetric scans in an NHS hospital setting in order to assist with reducing backlogs
  • To provide a high standard of work ensuring that the ultrasound examinations of patients are carried out efficiently

Job responsibilities

  • To carry out obstetric ultrasound scans and report independently delivering a high standard of work
  • To promote a multi disciplinary approach to patient care within the trust, ensuing a patient centred approach to care
  • MUST have CASE accredited Qualification
  • MUST have a valid Downs SyndromeScreening Quality Assurance Support Service (DQASS) identification number.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working in the NHS completing obstetric ultra sound scans.
  • Must have a valid Downs Syndrome Screening Quality Assurance Support Service (DQASS) identification number in order to carry out First Trimester Combined Screening (FTCS).

Qualifications

  • Must have completed a UK postgraduate certificate or diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound.
  • MUST have CASE accredited Qualification
