Are you an experienced Obstetric Sonographer looking to pick up extra shifts during the week? Medicare are currently looking for Sonographers to work midweek completing obstetric ultrasound scans for our client in Scotland. We offer flexible contracts that allow our candidates to choose their preferred working days, hours and locality which allows them to work around their schedule. Multiple positions available on midweek lists (Monday to Friday).

Main duties of the job:

  • To perform obstetric scans in NHS hospital settings in order to assist with reducing patient backlogs.
  • To provide a high standard of work ensuring that the ultrasound examinations of patients are carried out efficiently.

Job responsibilities:

  • To carry out obstetric ultrasound scans and report independently delivering a high standard of work.
  • To promote a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care within the trust, ensuring a patient centred approach to care.

Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working in the NHS completing obstetric ultrasound scans.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a postgraduate certificate or a postgraduate diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check:

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
