Our Emergency Room at the Kiawah Partners Pavilion provides a seamless, patient-centered approach to care, equipped to handle illnesses, injuries, and more serious or life-threatening conditions.
The Medical Lab Technician performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.
- Operating automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Performing quality control and assurance procedures.
- Recording lab results in specified systems.
- Following all required privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.
Education: Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Experience: At least three years of clinical experience.
Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent.
This is a Career Ladder Position. Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements. External candidates must complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 6 months in position.
