First Contact Paramedic (FCP) – Primary Care Location: North London, covering a population of 70,000 Hours: 22.5 hours per week Salary: £46,000 – £53,000 p/annum (based on experience) The Role An exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join a collaborative, patient-focused PCN team. This FCP role offers the chance to work alongside clinical teams across seven practices, delivering critical, proactive care to vulnerable patients, both in clinic and through home visits. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting duty clinics, assessing and managing acutely unwell patients, and collaborating with clinical leaders and workforce leads to shape the PCN’s paramedic workforce. Key Responsibilities * Clinical Autonomy: Deliver comprehensive care to high-risk and complex-need patients, utilising advanced clinical assessment skills to make sound, independent judgments. * Patient-Centered Care: Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care, support emergency interventions, and manage both acute and chronic conditions with integrated treatment plans. * Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide holistic, patient-focused care while engaging in regular training and mentorship. About You * Qualifications: BSc in Paramedic Science or equivalent, registered with HCPC, and verified against stage one of the paramedic primary care roadmap. * Experience: Proven ability to operate autonomously in primary care with strong decision-making skills in complex, high-risk scenarios. * Drive to Innovate: Eager to support service improvements, enhance care delivery standards, and engage in professional development through regular training and PCN initiatives.
