Responsibilities:

  • Provide Addiction Medicine services to clients across Island Health through Access Central.
  • Conduct clinical assessment, triage, and service matching for a variety of substance use services, including withdrawal management, stabilization, treatment and recovery, supportive recovery, and outpatient services.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes medical and operational leadership, Nursing, Social Work, Indigenous Clinicians, Indigenous Support Workers, and individuals with lived experience.
  • Provide teaching and training to medical students and residents as part of the UBC Faculty of Medicine Island Medical Program.

Qualifications:

  • Physician with recent experience in medical withdrawal management.
  • OAT prescribing ability in BC.
  • Clinical faculty appointment at UBC (or ability to apply with provided assistance).

Start Date: As soon as possible.
