We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Operations Analyst to join our Member Experience, Digital and Data team based in Leeds. The role of a Security Operations Analyst involves monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats and security incidents. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining security systems, analyzing security events and logs, investigating breaches, and supporting the development and implementation of security policies and best practices. The analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding MPS data and assets by reviewing threat intelligence and recommending risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, the role involves promoting security awareness, supporting security projects, and enhancing security services.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats and security incidents at MPS.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security systems.
- Document processes and procedures for the Security Operations team within the Information Security group.
- Design and implement controls to address risks and ensure compliance with security frameworks.
- Respond to support tickets requiring InfoSec and SecOps assistance.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong IT skills with knowledge of networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security.
- Understanding of cybersecurity risks and management strategies.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
