As Head of Business Development – UK, you will co-create and own the UK growth strategy, driving sustainable income, market share and member engagement across individual, group and corporate segments.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be a visible senior commercial leader - shaping strategy at executive level while translating vision into operational delivery across medical and dental markets. The OpportunityYou will:
- Design and deliver the UK Business Development strategy, achieving ambitious income, growth and market share targets
- Lead and inspire high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a results-driven commercial culture
- Own regional budgets and P&L performance, ensuring robust financial control and value creation
- Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships and distribution channels to accelerate sustainable growth
- Drive member acquisition and retention, enhancing propositions and customer experience
- Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, responding decisively to competitive and regulatory change
- Ensure strong governance, risk management and compliance across all activities
We are seeking a senior business development leader who combines commercial rigour with strategic vision and the ability to deliver at pace. You will bring:
- Experience operating within organisations of £50m+ revenue, across both B2C and B2B markets
- Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy and proven P&L accountability
- A demonstrable track record of formulating and executing growth strategies
- Experience leading high-performing teams through both direct and matrix structures
- Executive-level presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners
- Background in insurance, financial services or another regulated environment (healthcare experience advantageous but not essential)
- An entrepreneurial, opportunity-focused mindset with the resilience to manage multiple strategic priorities
