We're looking for an experienced Transformation Lead to join our Transformation Management Office and help drive the delivery of strategic change across MPS.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of MPS, leading transformation at an enterprise level, influencing strategic decision‑making, and help ensure our investment in change delivers meaningful and lasting impact.
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and organisational change.
Rather than managing individual projects or programmes, you will lead and influence a portfolio of transformation activity, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable business outcomes, organisational capability, and lasting value.
Working closely with senior leaders across the business, technology, and operational functions, you’ll provide the leadership, challenge, and direction needed to align initiatives, optimise investment, and maintain focus on the outcomes that matter most.
As our new Transformation Lead, you will also
- Lead a portfolio of strategic transformation initiatives aligned to organisational priorities and long‑term objectives.
- Ensure change activity is prioritised, coordinated, and sequenced to maximise business value and organisational impact.
- Translate strategic objectives into tangible business, operational, and member outcomes.
- Influence senior stakeholders and governance forums, providing insight, challenge, and recommendations that shape key decisions.
- Drive business readiness, adoption, and benefits realisation across the transformation portfolio.
- Support portfolio optimisation and investment prioritisation to ensure resources are focused on the highest‑value opportunities.
- Champion transformation best practice, continuous improvement, and the evolution of new operating models and ways of working.
- Balance pace, governance, risk, and organisational resilience to deliver sustainable change.
We are looking for
- Significant experience leading complex, enterprise‑wide transformation across multiple initiatives, functions, and stakeholder groups.
- A strong track record of turning strategy into measurable outcomes and business value.
- Experience operating within portfolio, product, value‑stream, or transformation‑led environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders and executive teams.
- Strong commercial, strategic, and organisational awareness.
- Experience embedding new operating models, capabilities, and ways of working.
- The ability to lead through ambiguity, complexity, and competing priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel you do not match 100% of the technical requirements.
We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and strive to create a work environment which ensures everyone can be heard.
In return, we can offer you
- Discretionary on‑target bonus of 15%. Up to a max 30% based on performance
- 11% pension contribution (3% from you, 8% from us – optional additional matched 3% contributions, e. g. 6% from you, 11% from us)
- 30 days annual leave. Flexible public holidays and option to buy/sell additional leave
- Private Medical Cover
- Car Salary Sacrifice scheme
- 6x salary death in service
- Holistic health and wellbeing support package
- A truly flexible hybrid‑working arrangement
- A culture that promotes inclusivity, wellbeing and rewards hard work
Who We Are
Medical Protection Society (MPS) is the world’s leading protection organisation for Doctors, Dentists and healthcare professionals.
We protect and support the professional interests of over 350,000 Members around the world.
We are a not‑for‑profit organisation, meaning our Members’ premiums are kept safe should our Members require support for complaints or claims arising from professional practice, or invested into bettering the organisation, our colleagues and our products.
Our philosophy is to support safe practice in medicine and dentistry by helping to avert problems in the first place.
We also actively campaign for regulatory and legal reforms that benefit Members and the wider healthcare professions.
To do this, we need colleagues who are trusted and supported to deliver their best work, whether that be through leadership development, fully‑funded training courses or peer‑to‑peer support.
We want our colleagues to feel empowered enough to deliver positive change, display ambition to push themselves and are determined when faced with a challenge, whilst ensuring our Member’s best interests are at the core.
