The role:
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and securing new customers operating within the Housing Conditions sector. Using your market knowledge and professional credibility, you will identify and engage prospective clients, build a strong pipeline of opportunities, and convert new business through a consultative and relationship‑led approach. You will attend appointments nationwide, represent MLA at industry events and develop long‑term partnerships built on trust, service and commercial understanding. Your legal background will be highly valuable in reviewing contractual documentation, carrying out due diligence and presenting solutions that align with the needs of legal and claims businesses. This is a rewarding role where your communication skills, commercial mindset and housing disrepair expertise will directly contribute to the continued growth and success of MLA.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities within the housing conditions market.

About you:
We are looking for a commercially minded professional with strong housing conditions/ housing disrepair experience and the confidence to build relationships at all levels. You will ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor status or previous experience within Housing Disrepair claims.
- Strong knowledge of the Housing Conditions legal market.
- Excellent networking, communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Commercial awareness and confidence negotiating opportunities.

Package:
