Role Purpose
The Receptionist acts as the primary point of contact for all patients and visitors at the Brighton Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and associated satellite sites. This position manages patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, phone inquiries, and core administrative workflows to deliver a welcoming experience and ensure a seamless patient journey. The post holder maintains strict patient confidentiality (Data Protection/GDPR) and adheres to company guidelines and operational standards.
Role Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, visitors, and contractors upon arrival, completing accurate check-in procedures on the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Provide clear, reassuring guidance regarding appointment arrival steps, wait times, and clinic navigation.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming reception area and waiting room environment.
- Manage inbound and outbound phone calls, handling inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Schedule and rebook patient appointments across diagnostic modalities to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Coordinate daily patient arrivals and liaise with clinical teams regarding delays or schedule changes
