Be part of the team behind an exceptional patient experience. Are you someone who loves working with people, enjoys variety and wants a role where you can genuinely make a difference to someone’s day? We’re looking for a Radiography Department Assistant (RDA) & Receptionist to join our team at our Amex Community Diagnostic Centre in Brighton. This is much more than a reception role. You’ll be right at the heart of the patient journey - welcoming people into the centre, helping them feel comfortable and reassured, and working alongside our clinical teams to support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging.

It’s a brilliant opportunity if you already have experience in healthcare, care or a patient-facing environment and want to develop your skills within diagnostic imaging.

Why join us?

  • At Medical Imaging Partnership, we believe great patient care starts with great people. You’ll join a friendly, experienced team where your contribution matters and where you’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop and build your knowledge of diagnostic imaging.
  • You’ll also enjoy a varied role. One moment you might be welcoming and checking in patients, the next supporting a radiographer with patient preparation or helping ensure our clinical areas are ready for the next appointment.

Our benefits include:

  • 35 days’ annual leave including bank holidays
  • Private healthcare
  • Salary sacrifice pension
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits
  • Learning, training and development opportunities
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare and diagnostic imaging professionals
  • A supportive team environment within a growing organisation

What will you be doing?

You’ll work across both clinical support and reception, helping us make every patient’s experience as smooth, safe and reassuring as possible. Your role will include:

  • Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
  • Checking patients in and ensuring their details are recorded accurately
  • Supporting radiographers with patient preparation for imaging examinations
  • Helping patients prepare and change for their appointments
  • Acting as a chaperone and providing reassurance during examinations
  • Supporting initial MRI and CT screening checks under the supervision of qualified radiographers
  • Answering telephone enquiries and helping with appointments
  • Keeping clinical rooms, changing areas and waiting spaces clean, organised and well stocked
  • Processing referrals and updating patient information
  • Working closely with radiographers, reception colleagues and the wider clinical team
  • Helping us maintain excellent standards of patient safety, confidentiality and infection prevention

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to have previous experience as a Radiographer Assistant – what matters most is that you are great with people, organised, reliable and passionate about providing excellent patient care. You’ll need:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, care or clinical environment
  • Experience in a customer-facing, reception or administrative role
  • Confidence communicating with patients both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • A warm, compassionate and reassuring approach
  • Good IT and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to stay organised and calm in a busy environment
  • A good standard of English and Maths
  • A flexible, team-focused approach
  • Experience within diagnostic imaging, using systems such as RIS/PACS, or an NVQ in Health and Social Care would be an advantage, but isn’t essential

Location and working hours

Your base will be the Amex Community Diagnostic Centre in Brighton, but flexibility is an important part of this role. You will also be required to work at our satellite sites, including Crawley and Bexhill, according to service and business needs, so you must be able to travel between these locations when required. Our diagnostic services operate across Monday to Sunday, and you must be able to work flexibly across shifts falling between 6:30am and 10:00pm, including evenings and weekends.
