We're looking for an experienced Senior Radiographer to become our Quality & Governance Senior Radiographer, leading quality assurance, clinical governance and patient safety across our Brighton Diagnostic & Treatment Centre and satellite sites.

This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond day-to-day clinical practice and become the clinical quality expert within one of our flagship Community Diagnostic Centres.

Working alongside our Centre Manager, radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape the way we deliver safe, effective and outstanding diagnostic services for every patient.

The opportunity

This is a unique role combining senior clinical practice with strategic leadership in quality and governance.

You’ll lead clinical governance, quality assurance, radiation safety and continuous improvement across MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-ray services, ensuring compliance with national standards including IR(ME)R and IRR while supporting exceptional patient care.

You’ll also play a key role in patient safety, supporting incident investigations, learning responses, clinical audits and service improvement while helping to embed a positive culture of openness and continuous learning.

What you'll be doing

You’ll

  • Lead quality assurance and clinical governance across the centre.
  • Drive continuous improvement through clinical audit and service development.
  • Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, IRR and CQC standards.
  • Support patient safety investigations and organisational learning.
  • Develop and review policies, SOPs and clinical protocols.
  • Work alongside Radiologists and Medical Physics Experts to optimise imaging practice.
  • Mentor, coach and support radiographers and students.
  • Promote a positive culture of learning, safety and clinical excellence.

About you

You're an experienced Senior Radiographer who combines excellent clinical practice with a passion for quality, governance and improving patient care.

You’ll bring

Essential

  • HCPC registration.
  • BSc (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Significant post-registration experience as a Senior Radiographer.
  • Experience contributing to clinical audit, quality assurance and governance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of IR(ME)R, radiation safety and clinical governance.
  • The ability to analyse information and drive service improvements.
  • We’d particularly love to hear from you if you have
  • Experience in a Community Diagnostic Centre or busy outpatient imaging service.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Governance, Quality Management or Radiation Protection.
  • Experience leading quality improvement projects.
  • Cross-sectional imaging experience.
  • Experience mentoring and developing colleagues.
