Due to the continuing expansion of our business, we are looking for a Financial Planner to join our team based in Ottery St Mary.

Your role with us will include:
- Provide personalised financial advice - Speak with clients to assess their financial objectives, investment preferences and risk tolerance. Understand their current financial situation, tax status and develop customised financial plans tailored to their needs and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis - Obtain and analyse financial information received from clients, including income, assets, investments, expenses and debts, to evaluate clients' financial health and status. Identify areas for improvement, risks and opportunities.
- Offer financial recommendations - Utilise your knowledge of financial markets, investment products and asset allocation strategies to provide, with the help of our admin and paraplanning team, informed investment recommendations and projections to clients. Educate, coach and help clients make well-informed decisions with their portfolios. Answer client questions about financial plans and strategies.
- Monitor and review client portfolios - Regularly review client portfolios to ensure they remain aligned with their financial goals. Monitor market trends, economic indicators and changes in investment strategies to make necessary adjustments and maximise returns within risk parameters.
- Provide retirement planning guidance - Assist clients in planning for their retirement by evaluating their retirement goals, estimating future income needs and recommending appropriate retirement savings and investment strategies.
- Educate clients - Clearly explain complex financial concepts and investment options to clients, ensuring they have a solid understanding of their financial plans. Help clients develop financial literacy and empower them to make informed decisions.
- Stay updated on FCA financial regulations and industry trends - Keep on top of relevant FCA financial regulations, tax laws, market trends and industry developments. Continuously expand your knowledge and expertise to provide up-to-date, relevant and accurate advice.
- Build and maintain client relationships - Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients based on trust, professionalism and exceptional service. Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates, address concerns and adapt financial plans as needed.
- External relationships - Seek and develop new external business relationships and opportunities.
Other duties may be expected of you as the business evolves and as you evolve within the business. You will have a comprehensive induction from day one with full training on all our systems and processes. We have invested in our systems to make the processes as seamless as possible to ensure client satisfaction. The personal touch for each and every one of our clients is super important to us.
We are looking for a Financial Planner with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and who is chartered or working towards chartered status. An entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of the financial markets and an in-depth knowledge of the financial planning principles, investment strategies, asset allocation, retirement planning and tax considerations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients with varying levels of financial literacy. You will need to have high standards and a commitment to acting in the best interests of clients to achieve good client outcomes. With proven experience as a Financial Planner demonstrating a successful track record in providing financial advice and managing client portfolios, you must be able to work within defined business processes, FCA regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry holding a valid 'Statement of Professional Standing’ (SPS).
