Manufacturing Engineer | Medical Implants | Precision Engineering
We’re supporting a orthopedic medical technology business that’s entering an exciting new phase of growth. Backed by strategic investment, the company is transitioning from R&D into full-scale manufacturing and commercialisation of next-generation implant technologies.
They’re now looking for a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in driving manufacturing capability towards zero defects, improving process control, and supporting the development and production of bespoke medical implants.
This is a varied, shop‑floor‑focused role where you’ll work across CNC machining, manual processes, validation support, and continuous improvement with real ownership and visibility.
What you’ll be doing
Improving and optimising manufacturing methods and process capability
Programming and supporting CNC machining and manual production processes
Analysing trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement
Supporting equipment maintenance, validation, and documentation
Working closely with design, planning, and quality teams
Driving Lean initiatives (Kaizen, VSM, PFMEA)
Supporting SOPs, audits, and regulatory compliance
What they’re looking for
2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
CAD/CAM experience (AlphaCAM preferred; SolidWorks advantageous)
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and process documentation
Experience working in regulated or quality‑driven manufacturing environmentsA proactive, adaptable engineer who enjoys improving how things are done
