Most quality engineers get stuck behind a desk, chasing paperwork. This role puts you on the shop floor, fixing problems at source. We're working with a growing precision manufacturing business in Leeds, supplying into the medical device sector, looking for a Quality Improvement Engineer who genuinely wants to be where the machines are.

You'll be the bridge between Quality and Production: translating data into action, and turning root cause investigations into real, lasting fixes on the shop floor.

You'll get to:

  • Lead root cause investigations using 8D, DMAIC and 5 Whys
  • Use SPC, Cp/Cpk and MSA to drive real gains in process capability
  • Work hands-on with production teams to cut defects, scrap and rework
  • Influence across Production, Engineering and Quality
  • Support validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and strengthen the QMS as the business scales

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering
  • A structured, data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Solid understanding of ISO 13485
  • The confidence to lead and influence cross-functional teams
