We’re supporting an orthopedic medical technology business that’s entering an exciting new phase of growth. Backed by strategic investment, the company is transitioning from R&D into full‑scale manufacturing and commercialisation of next‑generation implant technologies.
They’re now looking for a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in driving manufacturing capability towards zero defects, improving process control, and supporting the development and production of bespoke medical implants within an ISO 13485 / GMP environment. This is a varied, shop‑floor‑focused role where you’ll work across CNC machining, manual processes, validation support, and continuous improvement with real ownership and visibility.
What you’ll be doing:
- Improving and optimising manufacturing methods and process capability
- Programming and supporting CNC machining and manual production processes
- Analysing trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement
- Supporting equipment maintenance, validation, and documentation
- Working closely with design, planning, and quality teams
- Driving Lean initiatives (Kaizen, VSM, PFMEA)
- Supporting SOPs, audits, and regulatory compliance
What they’re looking for:
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
- CAD/CAM experience (AlphaCAM preferred; SolidWorks advantageous)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and process documentation
- Experience working in regulated or quality‑driven manufacturing environments
- A proactive, adaptable engineer who enjoys improving how things are done
