We work in partnership with Palestinian communities to uphold their rights to health and dignity. We do this by developing effective, sustainable and locally-led healthcare services, providing medical aid during emergencies, and campaigning to break down the barriers to Palestinian health and healthcare today and for the future.

Medical Aid for Palestinians is seeking a freelance content creator to support in the creation and delivery of high-quality organic social media content. The role will support the Digital Communications Team in producing more strategic, high-quality content that serves our audiences across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter/X. We're aiming to strengthen our online presence through content tailored to each platform, using consistent brand messaging and visual identity.

Objectives of the Consultancy
  • Produce engaging, platform-optimised social media content.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity.
  • Help deepen the relationship with our audiences.
  • Contribute to the creative evolution of our channels and content.
Scope

The freelancer will be responsible for:

  • Creating original content in the form of graphics and short-form video for MAP's Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X channels.
  • Editing video content using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Producing graphics using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
  • Adapting content to different platforms, accounting for algorithms, audiences, and trends.
  • Incorporating feedback and revisions in a timely manner.
  • Staying up to date with social media trends and recommending new content ideas.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience creating content for social media.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills.
  • An understanding of how to hook audiences on social media (visually and in copy).
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
  • Understanding of best practice for each social media platform.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience following brand guidelines and messaging guides, with an understanding of how to work flexibly in and around these.
