Location: Portsmouth & Southsea (local rounds β PO1βPO6)
Job Type: Zero-hours / flexible shifts to start (hours increase as caseload grows)
Pay: Β£17.50βΒ£18.50 per hour (contact time) + travel time contribution

The Role (Senior Carer β quality + mentoring)
Weβre seeing strong interest from newer carers. What we need now is an experienced Senior Carer who can help set the standard and support safe onboarding as we scale. This role suits someone who wants responsibility and influence β and is happy to start on a flexible basis while the client base grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred care in the community (personal care, continence support, mobility support, meal prompts, wellbeing checks)
- Support shadowing and mentoring of new starters (coaching, best practice, feedback)
- Follow care plans, complete clear notes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Communicate professionally with service users and families
- Support quality and consistency across rounds (punctuality, dignity, respect)
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years UK care experience (domiciliary preferred)
- Confident with personal care and supporting vulnerable adults
- Strong communication and calm judgement
- Reliable, punctual, professional
- Enhanced DBS (Adult Workforce) and DBS Update Service (or willing to obtain)
- Two references (including most recent care employer)
- Medication training/competency (or willingness to complete)
- Experience mentoring/shadowing junior carers
- Driver with access to a car (preferred) or proven ability to cover rounds reliably (bike/scooter/public transport)
