Salary: ÂŁ31,733 per annum
Location: Remote, with occasional team meetings (no more than once per month)
Working pattern: Rolling rota â 4 nights on / 4 nights off
Shift patterns: 12âhour shifts (5pm â 5am and 9pm â 9am, alternating weekly)

About the role:
Axon Diagnostics, part of the Medica Group, provides vital urgent and outâofâhours diagnostic services that support hospitals, clinicians and patients when timely care matters most. As an Urgent Care Service Delivery Coordinator, you will be a key part of our frontâline operational team, helping to ensure urgent radiology examinations are delivered safely, accurately and within strict clinical timeframes.
This is a fastâpaced, purposeâdriven role where no two shifts are the same. Youâll act as a trusted first point of contact for hospital clients and radiologists overnight, helping coordinate care that has a direct impact on patient outcomes across the UK.
What youâll be doing:

Acting as a primary point of contact for radiologists supporting the outâofâhours urgent care service

Monitoring and responding to service delivery mailboxes, calls and messages to ensure timely resolution of queries and issues

Coordinating and maintaining radiologist rotas, ensuring coverage, availability and reporting capacity

Allocating urgent radiology examinations to the appropriate reporters within contractual turnaround times

Maintaining accurate records and logging all communications within our systems

Producing regular service reports, dashboards and handovers covering KPIs, SLAs, turnaround times and operational risks

Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a highâquality, patientâcentred service at all times
Job requirements
About you:
Youâll be someone who remains calm, organised and peopleâfocused in highâpressure environments, with the confidence to work autonomously overnight while knowing when to escalate appropriately.
Youâll bring:

Experience in a service delivery, healthcare operations, urgent care, customer service or coordination role

Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner

Strong attention to detail and high levels of data accuracy

Confidence liaising with senior clinicians by phone

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

A collaborative, empathetic and proactive approach, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience in healthcare, telemedicine, radiology or outâofâhours services is beneficial but not essential â full training will be provided.
