The role: As Quality, Health & Safety Manager, you’ll take ownership of standards across the manufacturing site, leading quality and safety activity in a fast moving, hands on environment. You’ll lead a small but capable team of Quality and QHSE Engineers, setting direction and driving KPIs across quality, health, safety and environmental performance. This is not a desk bound role. You’ll be on the shop floor, challenging processes that aren’t robust and working closely with operations and R&D.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small but capable team.
- Act as the key point of contact for customer complaints & supplier issues.
- Be the one who spots the escape points before they cost time and money.
- Assess and improve Health & Safety across the shop floor.
- Lead accident reporting and investigations, and support teams with corrective actions.
- Deliver toolbox talks and provide day-to-day guidance on quality and safety matters.
- Support supplier performance, PPAP requirements and new product introduction.
- Work with operations on risk assessments, FMEAs, risk management plans and SOPs.
The details you’ll want to know
- Salary: £60–65k depending on experience
- Onsite five days a week
- Early finish every Friday (1:30pm)
- Occasional travel to a second site, but home base stays the same
Qualifications
If you’ve got 5+ years’ experience in QHSE, internal auditing know-how, and the confidence to drive standards in a busy, multi process environment, this could be the move you’ve been waiting for. It would be great if you have NEBOSH, but if not IOSH is also considered.
