Are you an experienced organic search leader with deep technical expertise and a strong strategic mindset?
We’re looking for someone who can lead and inspire a team of SEO professionals, set best-in-class standards, and drive organic search performance that delivers real business outcomes.
Note: We work from the office 3 days per week and are based near the Metro Centre in Gateshead.
The role You’ll be responsible for: Owning delivery quality and consistency across the Organic Search service line, ensuring all outputs meet agreed technical standards, strategic frameworks and best practice.
Leading the development of enterprise-level organic search strategies, grounded in category and topical authority, sound technical architecture and integrated content and Digital PR approaches.
Partnering with Client Services to ensure organic search delivery meets or exceeds client expectations, strengthening relationships and supporting long-term retention.
Working collaboratively with other service lines to ensure organic search is effectively integrated into wider media and business strategies.
Taking accountability for the capability maturity of the Organic Search team, ensuring skills, knowledge and experience continue to develop in line with best-in-class SEO delivery.
Ensuring delivery operates through clear, repeatable ways of working that support quality, efficiency and consistency at scale.
Partnering with the Growth team to create high-quality, pitch-winning organic search solutions.
Acting as a senior ambassador for Organic Search internally, driving continuous improvement, innovation and adoption of new SEO approaches.

The person Ideally you’ll have: Advanced, hands‑on expertise in technical SEO, content strategy and authority building at enterprise level.
A strong understanding of how organic search integrates with wider media, brand and commercial strategies.
Deep familiarity with SEO tools, analytics platforms and data interpretation to inform strategic decision‑making.
Experience defining and embedding delivery standards, frameworks and best practice at scale.
Proven experience leading an SEO or Organic Search function with accountability for delivery quality and team capability.
Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to balance high-level thinking and hands‑on delivery oversight.
