Do great work, have great fun and develop your career alongside a group of ridiculously talented people. Are you ready to take ownership of a growing agency brand and turn ambition into measurable pipeline? We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to lead our brand, demand generation and communications strategy in a fast-moving digital marketing agency. This is a broad, hands-on leadership role with real influence, shaping how we show up in the market, how we generate opportunity, and how we scale our marketing function as we grow.
Working closely with the CEO, Sales and Service Line Leaders to drive both brand impact and commercial performance, you’ll build the long-term plan, deliver it, measure it, refine it, and build the team as success follows. We operate a hybrid model, with three days per week in our Gateshead office (near the Metro Centre).
The role
- Owning and evolving our overall brand and lead generation strategy, aligned to agency growth goals
- Delivering and optimising our marketing roadmap, balancing existing priorities with new opportunities
- Driving MQL and opportunity generation in partnership with Sales and Service Line leaders
- Proposing, managing and measuring marketing investment, taking accountability for ROI and performance
- Leading agency PR, awards strategy and industry positioning
- Overseeing content, campaigns, events and social presence to ensure consistency, quality and impact
- Building and developing the marketing function, scaling capability over time
- Acting as a connector across the agency, ensuring alignment between marketing, sales and delivery teams
- Embedding data-driven decision making into all marketing activity
Success in this role will be visible in pipeline contribution, market visibility, awards recognition and brand strength.
In return
You’ll get a platform to shape and scale a marketing function, the chance to make a visible impact and a collaborative, energetic group of talented marketers to partner with. Alongside a competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus public holidays and your birthday off with the option to buy additional leave, we have regular social activities, team events, including our famous monthly breakfast buffets, as well as a range of wellbeing options, a personal development plan, and more.
The person
You’ll be commercially minded, ambitious, and energised by building momentum. Ideally you’ll have:
- At least 5+ years’ experience in a digital, integrated or agency environment
- A minimum of 2 years operating at a senior marketing level
- A proven track record of delivering measurable lead generation and brand impact
- Strong understanding of digital experience, performance, creative and strategy services
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing across departments
- Experience managing PR, campaigns, events and content in a coordinated way
- A data-led mindset, comfortable setting KPIs, analysing performance and adjusting strategy
- The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery-focused
- Natural organisation and clarity in a fast-paced environment
- An aptitude for solving problems and the confidence to influence and engage in the decision-making process
- A great attitude and willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team spirit
- A passion to train and share skills with other team members and departments
You’ll thrive in this role if you share our values for ambition, impact, connection and innovation. We move quickly, collaborate closely and care deeply about the work we do. We like to win. There’s no shame in that. And we believe that to win you set the bar and beat it - simple as that.
We do it well
We’re commercially driven and customer-obsessed. We’re not here for vanity, every single one of us is 100% driven to smash your goals. We love technology and we get a buzz when we come up with ways of working better, faster, and smarter than the competition.
We do it together
We believe in the power of teams to create work that works. We’re natural born collaborators, always feeding off each other because we know that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
