A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join MediaTek as HR Administrator. The primary focus of this varied, interesting role is to provide first-class HR operational support to our two UK offices. This position offers the right candidate scope to really make this role their own and become part of a highly dedicated global HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the EU POM Manager on HR operational tasks, ensuring effective execution and alignment with global HR strategies.
- Work closely with the global HR team to maintain consistency and coherence in HR practices across the organisation.
- Support the Site HR Manager with local HR administrative tasks and employee relations administration.
- Manage the onboarding process, including issuing new starter contracts and organising Day One inductions.
- Manage the offboarding process, including processing final payroll.
- Assist the Senior HR Generalist in processing monthly payroll for UK employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing timely and effective resolutions to their concerns.
- Support the immigration process by managing work permit files.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in our HR Information System (SAP).
- Organise, maintain, and update HR documentation and online employee files, ensuring easy access and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Manage DSOT, expat and internal transfer processes.
- Assist with the review and update of HR policies and the employee handbook, ensuring they reflect current practices and legal requirements.
- Support various HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience.
- Utilise advanced technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to optimise and enhance HR processes for EU sites.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role is an advantage, however we will also consider HR Graduates (or equivalent).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to interact with individuals at all levels of seniority, demonstrating confidence and effectiveness in handling potentially challenging situations.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively, sometimes under pressure.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and SharePoint.
- Proven experience with working with databases and other systems.
Nice to Have (not essential)
- Excel Intermediate/Advanced.
- Proficiency in using HR Software, preferably SAP.
- Mandarin speaking.
