The GFX IP will be deployed in flagship and mainstream mobile SoC and will serve as fundamental technology for adjacent markets such as laptop, IoT, AI, VR/AR and automotive.

The team is hiring GPU talents at all levels—including Architecture, SW driver, Compiler, Performance, Power and Model engineers—to join the Cambourne, Cambridge office.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Define GPU compiler software architecture and interfaces.
  • Develop and implement GPU compiler pipeline, linking, and various optimizations/transformations.
  • Collaborate with Driver team and HW team to implement new API & HW features.
  • Collaborate with Driver team and HW team to improve and tune performance & power consumption.
  • Execute & deliver to meet milestones and schedules.
  • Analyze and debug code generation issues.
  • Analyze and influence future GPU architectures.
  • Build reliable and trustworthy relationships across teams, both internally and externally.

Main Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS, MS or PhD degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related majors.
  • Working experience on product compiler, compiler tools such as assembler and linker development.
  • Hands‑on knowledge/experience of C/C++ programming.
  • Hands‑on knowledge/experience of state‑of‑the‑art compiler optimization/transformation techniques.
  • Hands‑on knowledge/experience of LLVM.
  • Strong teamwork skills and execution capability.
  • Strong problem‑solving, root‑causing and debugging skills.

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge/experience of GPU/GPU pipeline and GPU architecture.
  • Knowledge/experience of SIMD architecture.
  • Knowledge/experience of D3D, Vulkan/OpenGL, OpenCL APIs.
  • Knowledge/experience of leveraging AI in compiler/tool/optimization development.
