We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Digital Business Director to lead cross-channel strategy and drive growth across our key client accounts. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level client ambition and best-in-class execution, translating business goals into transformative digital strategies that span Search, Social, Programmatic, and Video. Partnering directly with Client Managing Directors and Heads of Channel, you will set the benchmark for operational excellence, commercial rigor, and sustainable margin management.
- Leads Medialab’s tactical channel vision on key clients, setting the standard for excellence and ensuring each discipline contributes meaningfully to client growth and commercial performance.
- Translates client and business ambition into transformative channel strategies, connecting innovation, experimentation and commercial acumen to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Guides and challenges Digital Directors and Managers to ensure strategic cohesion, quality, and consistency of channel outputs across all clients with their team.
- Owns senior strategic client relationships and provides client-side insights to shape broader agency vision, helping build the 'Medialab way' for digital channels.
- Partner with Client Managing Directors, Business Directors and Heads of Channel to align channel objectives with commercial growth, resource planning, and capability development.
- Hold the Channel leads to account for developing and training team members and is an escalation point for blockers and problems in cross channel planning and delivery on key clients.
- Accountable for best-in-class planning and delivery across channels for key clients ensuring outputs are strategically robust, creative, and commercially sound.
- Ensures commercial rigour in delivery, forecasting accuracy, process efficiency, and sustainable margin management.
- Deploys and curates best practice on key clients, building frameworks, client playbooks, and case studies that define Medialab’s channel excellence.
- Working with the team, ensures that the right testing priorities make their way onto client schedules.
Data Driven Success
- Translates data into channel-specific insight, connecting measurement outputs to actionable recommendations.
- Elevates measurement sophistication, embedding incrementality testing through the team, attribution, and channel-relevant effectiveness frameworks.
- Drives best-in-class cross-channel planning, holding accountability for quality, integration, and strategic coherence across all channel outputs.
- Comprehensive knowledge across digital channels (Search, Social, Programmatic, Video) with a proven track record of synthesizing them into cohesive, multi-channel growth strategies.
- Deep understanding of modern measurement frameworks, including incrementality testing, attribution modelling, and translating performance data into actionable business recommendations.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor Digital Directors/Managers, drive operational accountability, and act as the ultimate escalation point during delivery challenges.
