We are seeking a B2C Marketing Executive to support brand building, audience growth and audience monetisation across Mediahuis Ireland's portfolio of leading news brands, including the Belfast Telegraph, Irish Independent and Crime World. A higher proportion of day-to-day activity will be focused on the Belfast Telegraph, so we are looking for someone who understands Northern Ireland well and can spend time in our Belfast office. This is a full-funnel, generalist marketing role covering brand, subscription marketing, audience growth, research, media planning and campaign delivery. The role will also support the development and launch of new products and editorial verticals, including contributing to brand positioning and visual identity work.
Working as part of the B2C marketing team, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of marketing activity, from insight and planning through to execution, evaluation and optimisation with increasing ownership of campaigns and projects over time. We are open to applications on a full-time or part-time basis and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Brand & Positioning
- Support the development and execution of brand strategy across multiple news brands
- Contribute to brand positioning work, including the development of visual identities for new products, verticals and initiatives
- Work with internal design resource and specialist external agencies to deliver high-quality creative assets
- Audience Growth & Monetisation (Full Funnel)
- Support audience growth, engagement and subscription marketing activity across the full funnel
- Assist with the planning and delivery of brand, brand-response and direct-response campaigns
- Ensure marketing activity supports both audience growth and revenue objectives
- Campaign Ownership & Delivery
- Support larger, cross-brand campaigns led by senior marketers
- Take ownership of smaller BAU campaigns
- Manage small campaign budgets where activity is delivered externally
- Product, Vertical & Proposition Development
- Support the development and launch of new products, propositions and editorial verticals
- Contribute marketing input to go-to-market planning and launch activity
- Media Planning & Activation
- Support media planning with agency partners
- Deploy campaigns across owned media
- Research, Insight & Evaluation
- Use audience research and campaign performance data to inform decisions
Essential: Minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing role; Experience working across the marketing funnel; Interest in brand building, audience growth and subscription businesses; Proactive, positive attitude and ownership mindset; Comfort in fast-moving environments.
Desirable: Experience supporting product or proposition launches; Exposure to subscription or membership marketing; Interest in news, media or cultural brands; Strong learning ability and intellectual curiosity; Comfort working across brands and priorities; Good judgement and ability to escalate appropriately.
