ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a six month Fixed Term Contract position
The Rufus team act as brand guardians for one of Initiative’s key clients, Amazon. Within this dedicated team, this role focuses on Amazon Prime Video, a premium streaming service committed to shaping the future of movies, television, and live sport.
The Amazon Prime Video team at Rufus work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovating on behalf of consumers is at the heart of everything we do. As a Manager, you will work alongside the Associate Director and the rest of the team to develop media planning solutions for exciting brand-led show, movie, and sports campaigns. You will also be actively involved in implementation and reporting.
The role requires planning across all channels in conjunction with specialists – TV, OOH, Print, Radio, and Digital. If you love sport, film, or TV and want to work on a high-growth brand that prides itself on customer experience and content excellence, this is the role for you!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning
- Develop responses to briefs independently, incorporating clear targeting and strategic channel planning based on insights, research, and data. Question elements of the brief when necessary.
- Own the plans, ensuring they are current and accurate.
- Apply relevant research (e.g., TGI, IPA Touchpoints, IMS, Nielsen, Google) effectively.
- Stay updated on the media marketplace to educate clients on evolving opportunities.
- Analyze research reports to draw insights and conclusions.
Delivery
- Produce detailed documents, overseeing junior team members’ work.
- Maintain accurate administration and meet all deadlines.
- Oversee weekly internal and external reporting.
- Build strong relationships with media owners, creative agencies, and ad-servers for optimal delivery and platform solutions.
- Deliver high-quality Post Campaign Reports promptly.
- Manage digital campaign setup and trafficking.
- Passion for testing and learning within digital media, with experience across performance and brand campaigns.
Team
- Coach and develop Executives and assistants.
- Collaborate with other managers, the Associate Director, and the Head of PV.
- Build effective relationships with activation teams.
- Liaise daily with clients and the agency.
- Adapt quickly to support the team through various challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in integrated media planning, digital, content, or related discipline.
- Ability to delegate and oversee team members.
- Proven relationship management skills with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Experience managing or developing staff.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience in new business planning and presentation skills.
- Experience with entertainment or retail accounts is preferred but not essential.
