The Role

mediasense are looking for an Associate Consultant (Programmatic SME) to support the Digital Practice in the delivery of high-quality digital audit and advisory to clients. It is a thriving area as clients continually seek greater support as they navigate through an increasingly complex landscape. The role will be hybrid - with working from our London office expected three days a week including a Tuesday, the Services Department anchor day.

In this role, your key responsibilities will vary as we work on a project basis, problem-solving for clients on many different types of projects. Examples of day-to-day work may include:

  • Working as part of project teams to deliver our two main digital audit products (DiPA Diagnostic and DiPA Tracking) and advisory services for our clients.
  • In depth analysis and evaluation of digital media campaigns providing supporting observations, insights and recommendations to drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery.
  • Working with visualisations of client data to identify key performance trends and data signals.
  • Reviewing agency and partner best practices and providing a point of view on what best practices should be adopted globally.
  • Creating global Programmatic best practices for clients and their agency teams to adopt.
  • Leading communication with agencies to ensure projects are set up to succeed, establishing project timelines and ways of working and ensuring all parties are held to account on these agreements.
  • Supporting pitch management projects to help clients evaluate agency digital capabilities, propositions, process submissions and commercial offerings.
  • Providing on-going knowledge updates to internal teams on current and emerging digital media practices.
  • Managing, mentoring and training Senior Analysts and Analysts on projects to deliver our digital audit products to a high standard.
  • Engaging with clients to confidently present and articulate our digital audit outputs.

The Candidate

You are a media professional with Programmatic media experience from a media agency, ad-tech, consultancy, client side or similar. You have great knowledge of key platforms such as DSPs, ad servers, ad verification tools. You are enthusiastic about keeping up to date with developments in media and marketing. You have strong analytical skills and are able to interrogate data to derive insights for stakeholders. You are naturally inquisitive with a desire to help drive better outcomes for your clients.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ Programmatic media experience
  • Experience trading in and reporting from specific Programmatic platforms (e.g. DV360, Amazon DSP, The TradeDesk, Ad Server, verification tools etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to synthesise data sets from different platforms to build insights and inform strategic recommendations.
  • Confidence translating quantitative insights into a clear narrative, identifying what’s important to tell the client and why
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with clients from various sectors and markets and complex organisations.
  • A self-starter with a sense of autonomy and initiative, who is also able to work well independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to prioritise across a variety of projects.
  • A positive and proactive attitude to find solutions to problems, constructively balancing speed and quality to deliver.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead workstreams from start to completion.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for media, for making a change in our industry and for delivering great work for clients.
  • The ability to maintain up to date weekly timesheets for accurate business reporting.

The following are preferable, but training will be provided:

  • Experience with the data visualisation tool Tableau.
