Events Operations Coordinator
London (x3 office)
Salary: £28-30,000 dependent on experience + bonus
My client is a strategic insight and convening company focused on surfacing critical intelligence, curating high‑level dialogue, and building meaningful connections across healthcare and technology sectors. Due to expansion a role has arisen for an enthusiastic, talented Event Coordinator to work on the international portfolio of events.
Responsibilities
- Pre‑event correspondence with delegates and sponsors.
- Managing outgoing expenditure and maintaining accurate budgets.
- Negotiating, liaising and managing relationships with event venues and suppliers.
- Creating and designing event signage and exhibition floor plans.
- Sourcing branded items – lanyards, sponsorship inventory etc.
- Managing dinners, drinks receptions and bespoke networking events.
- Booking staff travel and accommodation.
- Managing onsite event teams and event registration.
- Organising onsite meetings between attendees and sponsors.
Qualifications
- Ability to use initiative.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to multi‑task whilst maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers & clients.
- Good at working and communicating with colleagues on an individual and team level.
- Proficient at cost management and forecasting.
- At least 1 year’s experience in the coordination of B2B events for 150+ people.
- Experience in managing exhibitions/sponsors.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management.
