My client is a global leader within the media sector, with a thriving events division delivering high-impact, globally recognized experiences. Due to continued success, the client is now looking for a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the division. This includes the successful execution of global events, managing a small team, operational frameworks, driving profitability, and ensuring the brands continue to deliver world-class experiences for attendees, sponsors, and partners.
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Translate company strategy into actionable and measurable operational plans.
- Lead the annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Own P&L and financial performance for all events and related business units.
- Ensure operational scalability as the brands expand globally and vertically.
Operations & Event Execution
- Oversee global planning, execution, and delivery of all company events, ensuring excellence across production, logistics, registration, content, and attendee experience.
- Optimize processes and workflows across departments for efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
- Ensure all events comply with local laws, health and safety regulations, and internal policies.
- Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in how events are conceptualized, built, and delivered.
- Lead with the product and content teams to evolve the event value proposition, format, and experience based on audience needs and market trends.
- Leverage attendee, exhibitor, and sponsor feedback and analytics to guide strategic improvements and innovation.
Requirements
- Proven experience (7+ years) with 2-3 years ideally heading up the Event Operations function.
- Experience working with C-suite stakeholders in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience with international event compliance, venue operations, and vendor management.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
