My client is looking for an Events Operations Manager to join their successful team. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running, successful management and delivery of a series of unique, invitation-only events driven by pre-scheduled business meetings between pre-qualified solution providers and senior executives that are mutually interested in doing business together.

You will be the main point of contact for all the sponsors, speakers and delegates in the run up to the event, while managing the set up and delivery of the business meetings, budget, venue & suppliers.

Responsibilities

As the Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all pre-event communication with sponsors & delegates, scheduling of one-to-one business meetings and delivery of the event. Responsibilities include:

  1. Main liaison with all clients in the run up to the event, gathering necessary documents and materials in time for deadlines.
  2. Set-up and delivery of one-to-one business meetings, managing meeting invites and scheduling diaries.
  3. Close internal communication with event team to ensure deliverables are met.
  4. Handling any logistical questions regarding travel and accommodation if required.
  5. Ensuring all speakers are prepared for the event and have presentations/ links ready.
  6. Main point of contact with the venues once the contract has been signed.
  7. Budget management – Staying within budget for food & beverage, bedrooms, room rental, entertainment & travel.
  8. Organising all AV requirements & external suppliers.
  9. On-site management at events with the opportunity to travel to Europe and US.

Qualities and Skills Required

  • Events management Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience preferred, ideally gained within the b2b sector.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Outstanding organisational, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a true team-player.
  • Excellent communicator, verbal and written.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook.
