A newly created role with an exciting events business currently running a successful series of events in the finance space, looking to continue their growing brand with a sales leader who can orchestrate the sales side of the business to the next level.
The events are spread around the globe covering Dubai, Australia, Europe, and South America with new launches planned.
Skills Required- Candidate must hit the ground running, manage remotely, and potentially keep some clients.
- Remote management with monthly visits to event locations.
- Drive KPIs and implement value-based selling techniques.
- Must be able to mentor, coach, and potentially handle some key accounts.
- Foster a culture of deep customer, category, and portfolio knowledge and a client-centric sales approach.
- Motivate, encourage, and support whilst maintaining a disciplined, hard-working, and transparent input environment.
- Overall responsibility for hitting event/quarterly portfolio sales targets.
- Recruiting and developing a high-performing team, including training, coaching, and mentoring to deliver above-target results.
- Working with and meeting regularly with the other heads of the other functions.
- Ensuring the teams have all the tools for success they need, including briefs, CRM systems, lead generation tools, etc.
- Ultimate responsibility for delivery of all portfolio sales targets.
- Continually working towards agreed milestones and communicating clear plans if/when missed alongside identifying opportunities for over-performance.
- Minimum of 5 years selling high-value sponsorship, exhibition, or advertising packages in the events world, led and mentored a team of sponsorship professionals.
- Proven record of portfolio selling and growth, including increasing existing client spend and new business generation.
- Proven record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver revenue on new products and navigate new spaces.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with strong time and workload management skills along with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to grasp and understand varied and sometimes technical markets.
