We are Media Molecule, a multi-award winning video game developer and a proud member of the PlayStation Studios family. We have a history of creating revolutionary games such as LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway and most recently the BAFTA Award winning Dreams. It’s a fantastic time to join us as we embark on our next adventure, defining and executing the vision for our next project and settling into our spectacular, newly refurbished studio in central Guildford.

We are now searching for an experienced Lead Programmer to join our Presentation team.

Location: Our Guildford studio or hybrid.

Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and creative person, with a clear attention to detail and an excellent technical background, to lead the delivery of presentational technology within our next exciting project.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of UI, technical art and audio.
  • Provide inspirational day-to-day team management, through coaching, support and a positive team culture.
  • Work with artists, UX designers and audio designers to understand and realise their creative aspirations.
  • Champion and help define technical best-practice within Game Technology.

Skills required:

  • Excellent C++ skills with the ability to write readable/maintainable code.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Good technical verbal and written communication.

Experience required:

  • Managing, mentoring and/or coaching members of a technical team.
  • Collaborating closely with other disciplines to deliver high-fidelity UI, UX, technical art and/or audio for commercially-available games.
  • Implementing, debugging and rectifying code in a multithreaded environment.
