For the past 20+ years they have been providing award-winning legal training and qualifications for non-lawyers who are involved in the legal system in the UK and worldwide. They deliver over 4,500 training courses annually, training 10,000+ professionals each year. They are part of a larger group of companies and have a friendly, dynamic and sociable culture.

The Role of Training Consultant

This is a 360-degree sales role that will sit in the Investigations business area. You will be responsible for bringing in new business, while also having responsibility for managing and growing an existing client base. The primary function of this role is to sell profitable training courses into the investigations market by making business-to-business sales calls to senior decision makers and influencers across the sector.

  • You will be required to liaise with existing Investigative clients in both the public and private sector, understand their ongoing training needs, deliver customer-focused solutions and impactful proposals and pitches.
  • You will also identify and sell relevant training solutions/courses to new prospective clients.
  • Spending a set period of time each day making outbound calls, and pitching training products and services to relevant decision makers and influencers.
  • Sending out a set number of information packs following sales pitches each day.
  • Following up by telephone information packs and mailshots sent out.
  • Handling enquiries from clients and prospective clients.
  • Matching clients' needs with relevant product offerings/training courses.
  • Upselling and cross-selling existing clients.
  • Working as part of the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Attending client meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Meeting and exceeding achievable sales targets.
  • Growing into the role, and gaining understanding of business requirements, and your specific market – becoming an expert in your sector.

You will be working in a very close, friendly and professional sales and marketing team. You will receive training and support from management and the sales team as a whole, and will work closely with a number of departments responsible for course administration, design and delivery, and marketing. You will be given responsibility for your own sector, along with the autonomy to run your business area like your own business. You will have a monthly personal target which will contribute to the sales team group target.

Requirements for this Training Consultant position

  • A good university degree (2:1 or 1st).
  • Min. 1 year of B2B telesales experience.
  • Although you will be selling legal skills training, the audience for the courses are non-lawyers and therefore you aren't required to have a legal background or legal industry sales experience.
  • Enjoys new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Experience of selling training products and events - desirable.
  • High level of confidence and articulation.
  • Stable career history.
  • Naturally driven and self-motivated.
