The Company: A mid-sized publishing company with a dynamic and collaborative culture. You will be leading the marketing efforts for a highly respected automotive sports portfolio (consumer website subscriptions, events etc).
The role of Digital Marketing Manager: With the input of senior management, you will be supporting all areas of the business through effective marketing – including subscriptions, editorial, e-commerce, events and brand. Planning, designing, measuring and implementing effective digital marketing campaigns, you will be involved in the full campaign life cycle - idea generation, content creation, campaign set up, testing, launching, analysis and reporting on campaigns. This is a commercially focused and technically capable role, so the client is looking for someone with strong experience across digital marketing, subscriptions, systems, analytics and audience growth within a publishing or subscription-led business. One of the key requirements for this position is a strong understanding of how marketing systems, websites, ecommerce platforms and subscription platforms connect together from both a marketing and customer journey perspective.
Requirements for this Digital Marketing Manager role:
- Experience within publishing, media, memberships, or subscription-led businesses
- Strong understanding of subscription marketing, customer acquisition, and retention
- Experience working across CRM, marketing automation, and customer lifecycle journeys
- Technical understanding of how marketing systems, websites, ecommerce, and subscription platforms integrate and operate together
- Experience with platforms such as Dotdigital, GA4, WordPress, HubSpot or similar tools
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with a data-led approach to decision making
- Experience managing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across multiple products and audiences
- A commercially minded mindset with strong attention to performance, optimisation, and ROI
