My client is an international events company dedicated to enhancing customer value, extending its international footprint and exploring every available growth opportunity. Each year they bring together more than 260,000 customers to discover, learn, network and trade at their shows around the world. To do this, they have invested heavily in technical seminars, speakers’ platforms, workshops, summits and special in-show initiatives. Their events attract high profile, industry leading speakers and guests.

The role of Key Account Manager

As Key Account Manager you will be expected to reach and exceed sales/revenue targets and performance objectives for this Technology/Educational event. Relationship building needs to be a personal strength as you will be undertaking to grow key strategic customer links. Market research and trend analysis needs to be undertaken to understand their customers in this area with the aim to produce sales plans to contribute to an overall future sales strategy.

Requirements for this Key Account Manager position

  • Minimum 6 years of sales and key account management experience
  • Strategic and target driven key account management experience essential
  • Strategic approach to developing business opportunities with clients – new, lapsed and existing
  • Performance focus
  • Use customer insight to create compelling customer opportunities
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships with key stakeholders
  • Sales process expertise and pipeline management
  • Able to close complex sales and negotiate at all levels – including executive level and procurement teams
