A fast-paced marketing communications agency is seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute Financial Controller to their dynamic team. This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, where you will be instrumental in managing day-to-day finance operations, driving process improvements, and providing crucial commercial support across two legal entities with the support of a team of 3.
This role demands a proactive individual with a proven track record of streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will be a strong number two to the FD, playing a key role in achieving set KPIs and contributing to the overall financial health of the business.
- Oversee and review management accounts, presenting for review to the FD/MD.
- Consolidate reporting for the division, including internal management accounts, forecasts, and group reporting.
- Prepare and manage all group reporting to deadlines, reviewing with the FD.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary on key reports.
- Business partner with business directors and account leads on revenue forecasting, client profitability, and resource utilisation.
- Provide commercial and financial support to teams (billing, scoping, client queries).
- Prepare and consolidate group forecasts.
- Manage weekly and monthly revenue forecasting submissions.
- Provide client profitability reporting and management, reviewing with teams and the FD.
- Manage utilisation and productivity reporting.
- Manage bi-weekly revenue forecast submissions to the Group.
- Initiate and implement financial process improvements.
- Ensure efficient and high-standard working practices within the finance department.
- Provide insights and solutions to reach targeted performance KPIs.
This will suit candidates that have previously worked within media, currently in an FC role with a decent commercial exposure in their finance career to revenue and business partnering. This is a 12 months contract that will give you plenty of time to add value as the business is going through various implementations and integrations. This position will be more challenging and rewarding than many similar perm roles.
