Do you have around a year experience in accounting, looking for the next more progressive role? Or maybe you have recently graduated or started AAT studies and looking for your first finance opportunity? We are a creative production and post-production house looking to recruit a Finance Assistant, that will take charge of a wide range of financial operations and processes. Your main responsibilities will include managing sales and purchase ledgers, overseeing VAT returns, handling expense claims, and supporting the Management Accountant and Financial Controller with all transactional finance. You will also work closely with production teams to ensure smooth financial operations, project reconciliations, and budget monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end sales and purchase ledger transactions.
- Prepare, review, and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring payments are made on time.
- Compile payroll information.
- Reconcile all bank transactions, including currencies, AMEX card management.
- Oversee the process for staff expenses, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Review and manage open purchase orders, ensuring that all are completed on time.
- Monitor spending against budgets, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with the business owner to review financial data.
