This is an opportunity for an experienced analyst to step up and lead the strategy and delivery of a well-established financial news and intelligence company’s analytical output. You’ll be working for an innovative business which has grown organically through editorial output driving increased subscription revenue. As the Lead Analyst you will develop an analytical offering in your own image, working collaboratively with the editorial and data teams to produce weekly data insights, examining market trends and forecasts at both macro and micro levels.
Joining an expanding business will present opportunities for professional growth as the business expands internationally and broadens its coverage into M&A financing. Beyond professional developments, there are opportunities to attend their international conferences across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are looking for an experienced analyst who can write long-form analysis built from internal and external data sources and create insightful visualisations, to position this news organisation as a thought-leader in M&A and debt financing.
Key responsibilities- Transform data points from an expansive internal database into a weekly visual analysis.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced journalists to work on ad-hoc projects and to create data visualisations for stories across the desk.
- Work closely with the Head of Data and broader data team, as they look to build a market-leading data service.
- Significant experience as an analyst or data journalist.
- Ability to independently produce market-moving insights from datasets and produce visualisations using specialist software.
- Ability to write compelling analysis on capital markets.
