We’re on the lookout for an Account Manager to add to the growth of one of the most exciting new healthcare PR agencies of the last few years. They have nearly doubled in size and are hiring ahead of a busy second half of the year so it is a truly good moment to join.
The agency was founded by an inspirational industry expert who built it deliberately differently: senior staff stay on accounts from day one right through delivery, rather than disappearing after they’ve won the pitch, and keep the structure flat so that an Account Manager here isn’t just running the account admin -they’re genuinely shaping the work.
The work itself is almost entirely community engagement and patient advocacy, across global and US-only programmes for clients spanning liver disease, HIV, obesity, long covid and various rare diseases. There’s also a little bit of HCP-facing work, usually creative disease-awareness campaigns, plus community councils that feed patient insight back to clients, and internal comms projects such as, training marketing teams to support town hall meetings.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the day-to-day glue between the agency team and the client, juggling content, people and projects without dropping any of them. Specifically:
- Developing content across a range of formats, think patient materials, campaign copy, digital content, internal comms, always with patients at the heart of it
- Being a trusted point of contact for the client, building relationships that go beyond “just delivering the work”
- Running projects from brief to delivery: timelines, budgets, resourcing, the lot
- Working closely with creative, medical and strategy teams to keep everything on track and on brief
- Getting properly stuck into the world of patient advocacy and engagement, understanding what matters to patients and patient groups, and making sure that comes through in everything they produce.
You
- MUST have solid healthcare communications agency experience - you need to be a SAE or AM.
- Genuine interest in patient advocacy, as well experience in the pharma/healthcare space
- Someone organised enough to run several things at once without losing the thread
- A good writer, or someone keen to become one - you’ll be shaping content as much as managing it
- A good team player. It’s a small agency, and they have all got each other’s backs.
