Job Description
Our client, a leading independent healthcare communications agency is looking for a Senior Events Account Manager to join their growing team.
This is a brilliant opportunity to deliver meaningful, high-quality events for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, from congresses and symposia to advisory boards and investigator meetings – all while being part of an agency with a friendly, social culture and a genuine commitment to development.
The Role
You’ll be the key point of contact for clients and will take the lead on planning and delivering events of all sizes across the UK and internationally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects from concept through to post-event reporting
- Building budgets, sourcing venues, negotiating with suppliers and managing all logistics (speakers, travel, AV – the lot)
- Ensuring smooth on-site delivery – and being prepared to roll up your sleeves when needed
- Leading on post-event audits and compliance documentation
- Making sure every event meets ABPI, EFPIA and other relevant guidelines – you’ll be a role model for compliant behaviour
- Building strong, long-term client relationships and collaborating closely with internal account teams
About You
- You will have at least 2 years’ experience organising and managing pharmaceutical or healthcare events
- Are highly organised and detail-focused, but can keep an eye on the bigger picture
- Communicate confidently with clients, suppliers and colleagues alike
- Have experience with event registration platforms such as Cvent
- Understand pharmaceutical event compliance and auditing
- Are happy to travel in the UK and abroad to ensure your events run flawlessly
Why join?
This isn’t just another events role, it’s a chance to join a healthcare communications agency that’s genuinely helping patients. They’ve recently moved into stunning, custom-built offices with cutting-edge tech (think smart cameras and mics so global colleagues feel like they’re right in the room).
The culture is equally impressive:
- Training & development: from tailored programmes to mentorship, they invest heavily in helping their people grow.
- Plenty to get involved in: CSR projects, DE&I initiatives, a busy social calendar (think wine & cheese nights, pottery workshops and the occasional Halloween party).
- A supportive environment: with a mix of backgrounds, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” here – they flex roles around people’s strengths and interests.
-
If you love the buzz of events, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of an agency making a real impact in healthcare, this could be the next step you’re looking for.
