Our client is a successful, growing medical communications agency with offices across the UK and renewed investor backing for the year ahead. An exciting opportunity has arisen within their publications division for an ambitious medical writer. You will report to a Scientific Director and have the support of a very experienced team. The agency has extremely impressive retention of staff – a testament to their development, training and lovely culture.
The Medical Writer’s Responsibilities will include:
- Developing high quality medical/scientific content across the spectrum of commercial and medical project types, with particular focus on publications
- Ensuring work is delivered within agreed timelines and budget, maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and integrity in your work
- Building an understanding of client and competitor products, therapy areas, portfolio, and clinical and commercial strategy in the context of the current market
- Providing research editorial support for new business initiatives and pitches as required.
- Ensuring all content complies with relevant industry codes of practice and regulations.
Requirements:
- You will have previous experience working in a Medical Writing role, within a medical communications agency environment
- An academic background in the life sciences
- Some publications experience will be highly beneficial
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences
