The team is now hiring an M&A Reporter to cover APAC, with a focus on private and private-equity-backed companies across the world of digital infrastructure. The role centres on originating proprietary deal reporting: speaking directly with investment bankers, advisers and lawyers to surface potential transactions ahead of the wider market. This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven reporting role, suited to a journalist who is passionate about building source relationships and breaking stories ahead of the market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining a strong APAC-focused source network of M&A bankers, advisers and legal contacts.
  • Frequent travel to industry events across the region.
  • Breaking exclusive stories on prospective sales, acquisitions and strategic transactions across TMT sectors.
  • Developing a visible profile in the market through regular engagement with sources and attendance at regional and international industry events.
  • Contributing clearly written, commercially sharp reporting under time pressure.
