We're looking for an experienced professional to join our growing studio in the heart of London and play a key role in delivering high-end commercial, hospitality, workplace, and residential interior projects.
Senior Technical Designer
As a Senior Technical CAD Designer / Technician, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into precise technical documentation and construction packages. Working closely with our interior designers, architects, project managers, and external consultants, you'll ensure that projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawing packages from concept through construction stages.
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, bespoke furniture drawings, and construction details.
- Coordinate technical information with architects, engineers, contractors, and specialist consultants.
- Review design intent and identify technical solutions to support project delivery.
- Ensure drawing accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company standards.
- Support project teams during tender and construction phases.
- Manage drawing revisions, document control, and technical quality assurance.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to technical best practices across the studio.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience in a technical CAD design or architectural technician role within interior architecture, workplace, hospitality, retail, or residential sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge.
- Experience producing comprehensive construction documentation packages.
- Excellent understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Revit and BIM workflows.
- Knowledge of bespoke joinery and furniture detailing.
- Experience working on premium or design-led interior projects.
- Familiarity with CDM regulations and construction processes.
