One of the event industry's leading organisers is looking for a Head of Content to lead the content strategy on a portfolio of confexes whilst leading a small team of talented producers. As Head of Content, you'll be responsible for developing compelling event agendas, identifying emerging industry trends and ensuring our content remains relevant, commercially valuable and audience-focused. You'll lead and develop the content team, collaborate closely with commercial, marketing and operations colleagues, and play a key role in driving the continued growth of our event portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of producers
  • Define and deliver the content strategy across a portfolio of events
  • Research markets to identify trends, challenges and opportunities
  • Recruit high-calibre speakers and build lasting relationships with industry leaders
  • Work closely with sales teams to maximise commercial opportunities while maintaining editorial integrity
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling campaign messaging and promotional content
  • Monitor event performance and use audience feedback and data to continuously improve content quality
  • Manage content planning, production schedules and team priorities

About You:

You'll be an experienced content leader with a background in conferences, exhibitions, publishing, media or B2B events. You'll ideally have:

  • Some management experience and exposure to large-scale events
  • A strong commercial awareness alongside excellent editorial judgement
  • Confidence engaging with senior executives and industry experts
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • The ability to balance multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people
